WhatsApp Beta shows a new feature to search draft messages

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will help users to easily search or locate draft messages. The company is rolling out the new capability to a limited number of Android beta testers. One can get this build via Google Play Beta Program.

Draft message in WhatsApp is a feature that auto-saves your incomplete text you began typing but didn’t send for some reason. Such messages are even marked with “Draft” and often shifted to the top of the chat list for an easier view.

Although WhatsApp is making draft messages more useful by allowing users to easily search them. Found in the Android beta 2.25.18.17 version, the company is developing the “Search for draft messages” feature.

Earlier, users needed to spend a lot of time searching for a draft message. It not only became time-consuming but also frustrating at times when you are in a hurry.

But the new feature will add a specific filter to show all the unsent drafts in a separate column. All you have to do is select the Drafts filter and get a list of all those chats that were left with a draft message.

The best part is, users can edit the list of filters as per their priorities and reorder the filters as per their convenience. Note that it is a preset option, and you don’t have to make any manual efforts to use this feature. But you can remove it anytime if you didn’t find it useful!
