Gemesis has been essentially muzzled by DeBeers. Gemesis had to agree to laser inscribing an identification number inside of their diamonds. All of that was done to protect an industry where it is illegal to pick a diamond up off the ground in South Africa. people are dying and being jailed for helping to produce or picking up something which can be produced in a lab for a few dollars.

I like how they keep saying they're identical, yea we can clearly see they are YELLOW, not white, quite a big difference, and I don't see anyone saying the lab ones are HARDER
here's what you need to know, diamonds aren't so hard to get, it's just that de beer is controlling the monopoly, they have warehouses filled to the top with diamonds
@murda9966 When something is abundant, people tend to not want it as much. Scarcity dictates the prices and demand. Your analogy is flawed. You can't really compare a Ferrari to a rare stone. A Ferrari is a sophisticated piece of technology and even if it's made easily affordable, unless better technology is developed, there would still be demand for Ferraries. But if diamonds are abundant, there wouldn't be any demand for them since there isn't any real use of diamonds.
