  2. It's been 7 months since I sprained my ankle.

    I recovered during the first month; it healed, and I can walk normally,
    and the swelling is gone

    But when I jump and land, there's a popping thing and then it hurts.

    Running or putting force on that foot also causes pain. There’s still a popping sensation and pain here.

    Why could this be? I already had an X-ray, and there were no findings. The doctor also said there was no need for an MRI since there were no signs of serious damage in the X-ray results.

    It was an inversion-type injury. I sprained it when I landed after jumping.

  3. hello, i think i sprained my ankle but i dont have any bruises, i think i had at the beginning a few but it has been a week and i dont really see anything noticeable other than a bit of a different color. I didnt rest it for that whole week and kept using my legs to play tennis like i always do but it just started to hurt more and now im actually trying to care about it. is there anything i can do to make the process faster? i really cant stay still and is difficult for me to not go out of my house. my mom does not want me to go to the doctor for this since she thinks is nothing and she has diclofenac that has been putting there for me. idk what to do or like i've seen comments saying that some people stay like this forever and I am starting to freak out.

  7. Sprained my ankle 6 days ago.
    Jumped up playing pickleball and landed with 230 lbs on it. Moderate sprain—didn’t feel a pop or break, but it was painful as hell. Limped home, rested, and iced the first day.

    On day 2, I started rehab with a resistance band—ankle circles, side movements, etc. I began moving it right away. Noticed bruising on the outside and a little on the inside.

    Day 3: swimming, calf raises, walking around the house, stairs, squats, lunges.
    Day 4: same routine.
    Day 5 : 6 miles on the bike, swimming, one-leg half squats, and more band rehab.
    Day6: (today)have least swelling to none. Workout : swimming, calf raises, walking around the house, stairs, squats, lunges.
    It still may get little swollen, especially after exercising, but I’m not pushing into major pain—just tolerating some discomfort while rehabbing. If you’re interested, I can also share what foods and nutrients I’ve added to support healing.

  9. i sprained my right ankle 2 months ago while playing badminton and it still hurts when i walk for too long or every morning after i woke up and stand up. i did xray twice but nothing broken. doctor just told me to take it easy, do strengthening exercises for ankle, and thats it :’) it was swollen and all bruised for the first few days. i hope it will recover soon. stay safe everyone

  14. I sprained my ankle 3 weeks ago while playing volleyball and MRI showed a partial tear of the ATFL. I can now walk on with or without boot but sill limping. There’s still swelling and bruising and I’ll start my first Physio session on Monday. Hoping for a smooth recovery.

    Also, can dry needling help with the recovery?

  20. Injuuuust got a very minor injury caused by a false 1,5inch unlevelled floor I made myself. It was majorly an overload stress rhan a tear I absolutely sure. These videos cause you paranoia

  21. I swear I look up how to tell if you broke your ankle or not and all of these are showing rolling you ankle. I got kicked in the foot while playing soccer and my ankle hurts like hell now 😭 internet tell me what the f**k I do. I can hardly walk on it, and when I do it has to be perfectly straight like I can’t move it down at all and even then it hurts. I don’t think I have any swelling and it’s not bad enough that I had to sit out during the game. I actually couldn’t feel it during the game at all and continued playing for like an hour and fifteen minutes but after the game it became like impossible to move it without pain. My parents just told me to go to bed, prop it up, and put ice on it. I also took painkillers I guess.

  28. Lol im done for im prob 8 – 16 weeks and P.E is in 3 days and we are jumping from a bench and a high thing somewere around 5 foot so say goodbye to me and my ankle! (Im terrified of hights so…)

  34. It took me like two weeks to recover from my ankle, twisting because I twisted it outside while I was playing, but I wasn’t in shoes I was like in crocs and then my ankle my ligament😢❤ and I already recovered so yeah my ankle is the left one and it really hurts so stay safe everyone😊

  35. It’s been 5 months since I sprained my ankle
    When I sprained my ankle could barely walk it while having to hold my friends dog
    So I got a brace the next day and I don’t wear it as often now but I wear it sometimes because it helps with muscle spasms because when I get that my ankle hurts all over again

  36. My 2 week mark is coming up in 3 days , it’s still pretty swollen and is giving me pain in certain positions but I’m still standing and walking on it a lot (no pain), because I have to for work.

  38. I just twisted my ankle this morning and I couldn't walk on it all day, so I've been exercising and icing it. Eight hours later I'm walking on the ball of my heel with minor pain and there is no swelling. I'll be back in the gym in 3 days. Rest-Elevate-Ice-Stretch
