Can you show how to fix Ps1 Games on Popstarter they won't run or have graphics or sound issues? I know that you have to use the Cheat Editor but what for cheats to run this games?
Is there a method to rather patch the bin/cue files, then burn them to cds and play directly on the real hardware with all the fixes (especially the hdtv one)?
Does this only work with codes with a single line? The reason i ask this is because I'm playing the Japanese version of Castlevania: SOTN and the Infinite Gold code has 2 lines like this: 80097BF0 423F 80097BF2 000F. Do I just add the dollar sign before them or is there something I'm missing here?
Just recently got the opl stuff working thanks to your videos and this cheat method works as well I was curious if there was a PS1 cheat device app like the PS2 one for playing physical PS1 games.
The points are: game must VCD format & had POPS_IOX pak file.
Althought I cannot use OPL Manager, but I use PSXVCD2.2 to convert to VCD. Very good, including modded game version (ex: WE2002, W3Final to ENG).
To run game: rename POPSTARTER[dot]ELF file (164KB) to XX[dot]FILENAME[dot]ELF. FILENAME must same name with VCD format. (You can copy POPSTARTER ELF file many times to use for each game).
Memory Card: default each game would create a 'VMC game folder' same name VCD, there're 2memcard (VMC format) SLOT0, SLOT1 inside. You can use ePSX (PC side) to import/export saved-files.
CHEAT codes: why need?(widescreen 16:9, fixes lag..,); very easy: just copy/paste the CHEATS[dot]TXT file into VMC game folder.(Each game will have its own dedicated, and POPStarter auto-active them when play. Special-cheat contents view ps2-home).
I can't get cheats to work for GTA 1 tho popstarter and smb all the other cheats work on the other games that I have so I know I'm doing it right and the cheats work on the emulator do you guys have any solution I really like for the cheats to work on GTA 1

if your having trouble with cheats try a newer popstarter elf then rename your game elf files with it thats what worked for me
do you have a tutorial on how to launch games with that opl frontend? it looks really nice. all I can do is launch games from a folder

Are you going to make a video on psxlauncer elf? Sounds like a good alternative to pops because of lots of compatibility issues
Dude there is a way in OPL using the ps2rd. It is used for ps2 games too.
