  1. I have a question… I just ruptured my ATFL. What would you suggest I do? I am an athlete (high level soccer, surfing, and rock climbing). This happened about a month ago and I am trying to get in to see an ortho but they are taking forever. I am not sure what to do because I don't want to damage it more but am wondering if I should just start trying to walk on it (I have been crutching around for a month). PLEASE help!! Also any advice on if you would pursue surgery or PT? thank you so so much!

  2. I have a quick question, please answer my question. I went to a ton of doctors for my ankle but not healing. It is been over three and half months 😭😭. I was on crutches for a month. Then I thought it is going to heal, so I started playing sports for a month and two weeks then the doctor said I need to rest. I rested for a month and two weeks but it is not healing. There is a vein that is showing up. I can walk fine, jump on one leg but I can't not do jogging there is sharp pain when I do that. Please help me here!

  8. I have been injured my ancle ligament grade 2 for 5 weeks. And It still hurts sometimes and I cant still walk.
    And I fear if I walk it will be getting worst

  19. It's been a week after injury. Still can't wear my regular shoes. The ATFL gives pinching pain. I have been given more 72hrs rest from office and told not to bear weight at all on the sprained ankle… even though i told i can walk comfortably bare foot. Im really sad to skip my workouts. I have a half marathon coming up. 😢

  25. My pain is in my knee and my ankle, no swelling. Went down a step with my clodd hoppers on, lost balance and twisted my ankle.
    This put a halt to my weed pulling that I've been doing for two days.

    is there a way to tell if you have any broken bones without going to the hospital, swelling maybe?

  26. As Orthopedics resident, non weight bearing with clutches, boot back slab and later on physiotherapy is what works the best for my patients.
    Less later on complications.
