Excellent demonstration of what is to possess excellent craftsmanship, machining skills and imagination to come up with something like that.

Before I retired, I owned a machine shop for 20 years. I saw this part several years ago, and thought some day, after I retired, I would make one of these. Well today was the day, and it turned out great. I'm not at all convinced I could have figured it out without your great video. Now, I have one. I will warn folks that be careful and don't turn on the lathe until you are sure the parting tool won't crash into the off-center work. I did and crashed my parting tool! Luckily, I had another one.
