Hey Marty great lesson been following for few years. I go in and out of learning. Your lessons keep my interest. 👍 just found this lesson and it’s inspirational and motivating please if you can keep these lessons up and keep progression so I could keep improving and moving up. LOVE IT!! looking forward to being able to jam one day. I may be a step up from a beginner but learning the 12 bar blues/145 gives me confidence to keep practicing. Thank you so much. Hope all is well with you. Stay healthy.
Thanks for this lesson for beginners Marty, I would like to learn blues
So for blues chords , you mention those chords sound blues. So is it that we should learn the chords that sound blues ?
I better not catch you in the streets Marty. I’m gonna give u a fat loving smooch on that Marty forehead
Yes you can play the 12 bar rhythm cords while the so-called expert is riffing, and as a beginner you could learn something, but when the expert is and asshole, and berates you, and says “dude you suck at guitar” you put down your guitar and don’t play for another 10 years.
So basically to play the blues you need to repeat the standard 12 bars with different rythm and melody and chords?
Thank You very much for the ebook shared. Great material and I appreciate your contribution to the music ecosystem. You are awesome.
Thanks for the lesson!
Marty I have that same guitar LP Special p90s. I want a gibson SG next. Is there a big difference? I love the feel and tone of a gibson
Mando!
11 bars is cool sometimes, just to switch it up a little Johnny Cash did it. Can't remember if it was boy named sue, that may have been the song. One of his faster ones. My guitar instructor showed it to me. He didn't do the whole song in eleven bars, but there were a few times he used it in that song.
