Awesome Lesson! At minute 9:24 I’m lost. You play again the I Chord (G7) which is the fifth of the C Major scale. But then within the G7 Bar you play Bb. I don’t understand why as it is not a part of the C major scale and you are around G7 in the I chord 🤔
This is a great lesson. Thanks! I was looking at my little Circle of Fifths on the wall while listening to your lesson and well, I see an easy pattern to what you’re talking about. 👍🏼
Aloha, i have been watching your lessons for 2 yrs dreaming of the day i can follow along..self teaching…bam!! This is it …holy ship high in transit, man i needed to figure out triads… now everything opened up..man overload put guitar down walk away..digesting..lol. thank you so much , it is amazing how much stuff is out there but it sometimes just doesnt click…keep up the great lesson..thankful of your hard work to create these lessions…ill figure more out ..cant wait to find another one.. Mahalo
Dude, pardon my language you were just fucking awesome. You’re my new guitar hero. I have a couple of YouTube people I really enjoy Carl Brown is up there. But you are definitely my favorite. I’ve been playing for 50 years literally but you’re giving me new inspiration and a whole new way to look at things, especially for my students I am totally turning them onto you. Thank you so much not trying to sound gay but you are just really inspiring me and really fucking good. You have totally changed my perspective on approaching how and why thanks Bubba.
This is a really cool idea, thanks for teaching this Corey! I hadn't come across this before and it's a really fun concept I look forward to putting to good use.
I am considered an "advanced/intermediate" as far as playing goes, according to players, but I can't read a note and know a little theory but have no idea how to apply it and you integrate theory and actual good sounding stuff better then anyone I've seen online and there's a lot of them out there. Truthful flattery notwithstanding, you make it fun. Tonight I made a chart and put the notes in for every triad, Maj, Min, add6, dom 7, add 9, inspired by one of your videos on blues rhythm. I 'd buy your program tonight but instead I just bought a 000-18 MD and a re-issue twin reverb and my money is all screwed up and I'm going into a recession. Too bad because I'd like to but a zillion index put options. I tried all the 000's and only got the MD because the neck was oddly easier for me then the "low oval taper". I liked the EC the most but could not handle the baseball bat neck. In one of your review vids you called the 000-18 your "desert island" guitar, and frankly I preferred it to the MD, but I liked the MD neck more……….bla bla etc……In my monied days I had nine Martin dreads, all vintage, and some great old electrics. C'est la vie. At the moment the only good acoustic I have is the aforementioned 000 and an old Silverstone Dread that cost about $75 at the time and is far easier to play then any Martin. I really like Martins but they haven't made a great one since 1969…..weird neck profiles and no more Brazilian or black ebony, just more bling. I should probably get an M-200 for $125,000.00 What a gaudy hideous monstrosity that is. I'd sell it and buy a good guitar, and a few other things, like index puts, as equities are sure to die sooner then later. Old and poor and good at guitar…too much high stakes poker too, Confession complete! You like the 000's better then the dreads? Curious. Hope all's well……..D
This came at the perfect time for me. Watched the video then immediately went and jammed out some of the ideas right away. You’ve taken me steps further on my guitar journey in minutes. I’m very grateful.
Hello Corey, Thanks for breaking this down and explaining this cool sounding progression. G, C and F always sound so good together on their own and then adding those triads and of course the 7th into the mix certainly gives it some spice as well. You have some fantastic videos man, I really need to check out some of your courses which I’m going to check out pretty soon 🤙
Wow. I have been working on triads, but didn't realize how useful they can be. This lesson shows me how to use them in a new way. I haven't been able to download the Free track and TAB for this lesson. It says I have to enroll in the course first. Am I doing something wrong? I have your Blues Guitar Fakebook Rhythm Edition course. Now I'm anxious to go back and revisit that one. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Thank You for this Great Blues Rhythm lesson Corey! I love this Texas-Shuffle style of playing and want to practice it more! I'm practicing it along with the jam track, which is both challenging and fun! I've also been using the jam track to practice the Dom7 arpeggios and etudes(adapted) you taught in your excellent course on Dominant7 arpeggios.😄
That's so cool Corey. You always have ways of opening my mind to exciting new ideas. I'm playing these triads down the neck that I have never played before and it's like a light bulb moment! It sounds great on my steel string acoustic!
There are a lot of great guitarists on YouTube but not always as many great pedagogues. Love these lessons and wish I was in Nashville to take lessons!
Confused. If the tab is free, why does the linked page say you have to enroll in the course?
Otherwise great lesson. I've been trying to work out what the thumb is doing. I'm assuming it sounds the 6th string and mutes the 5th string. The video is so clear, I think I can work it out myself with a little theory. And the help of the last example and your pointing 😃 Thanks.

Ok, I get it that you replace G with C cause it's the 5th of G. But where did you get F from ?
Corey – Is the "Blues Rhythm Course Bundle" the same as your True Fire "50 Blues Rhythms" course?
Very neat lesson. Thanks Corey!
Light bulb lesson! Thank you! More please. 😂. Minors next?

Good stuff, thanks for posting. I'm not seeing how to get the "FREE track and tab" using the first link? What am I missing?
Great lesson Corey ! Thanks for feeding us with such good lessons 👍
That is a great concept – thanks Corey

Thanks Corey, yet another great lesson – it's a real skill making this stuff sound simple and digestible🤟

Really awesome lesson! Do you use the same technique for soloing? Any videos for that?
I like it…Thanks!!!
Loved the salt lamp comment haha!

Great lesson, my dude. Thanks!
