I can see how this would help complete beginners but please don't always think of "effects" as their own thing. I almost never have channels dedicated to risers and the like because I love putting those effects into the other channels. It can get very interesting when every piece of audio has multiple points of automation and you stop seeing the song as tracks one after the other and end up seeing the song as a cohesive whole. I couldn't handle songs with 50 or more tracks until i stopped labelling and colour coding and started going just by ear and waveform. Now, you might not think I have any credit to make these points but you probably havent heatd my music so give it a go then come back and insult me properly.
