Great list of tips to help subs be more resourceful, which is greatly appreciated. I would also bring band aid especially for kindergarten as well as 5th graders this will save them unnecessary trips to the nurse. Also have a watch on you to help you not be late if you have specials, such as pe, art, music, or library. As you said in your other video, bring shoes in case they put you in gym. Have your own folders to keep your extra work, word search, crossword puzzle, tic tac toe, unscramble, and maze worsheet ready for the kids. I would have at least 100 pencils already sharpened so the kids wont keep getting up to sharpen their pencil. God Bless.
I bring my own pen and pencil to write notes but the kids are using their own and sharing or borrowing the teachers provisions since i make 1/4 of what a teacher does possibly less
When we had a subtute we were only ten elevan we had this coubord in the hall way the whole class cramped in the coubord as soon as we got out we just called our parents we so over reacted
Great tips except for the "busy work". If you're in my room there will be actual plans with relevant and rigorous work as I don't believe in busy work. But having it in case the teacher left you NOTHING is not a bad idea.
Hi can someone give me some advise I'm starting too and I'm scared because i am a foreign teacher and im still getting familiar with the language idk what to do if wait a lil or just go with this lil English i have what do you think?
thank you so much! I'll be starting my first year as a substitute this fall because 1 of my 2 my daughters is starting high school this fall and I want to be as involved as I can! I've been a nurse practitioner for 30 years and only working 3 days a week so I felt this way a way I could help and stay involved.
Thank you so much for this. I recently have gotten my certificate and barely going to apply for them to call me and all. I just wanna be prepared for everything for when I get called. I’m nervous though lol.

I love your bag! Do you have a link for where you got it?
You don't want to use the teacher's things? That doesn't make sense.
I also buy and bring dry erase markers, but that's up to you.
