How often have the human species created things that could be bad or good such as nuclear energy. Fire was helpful in so many ways but it could be used to destroy as well. I like the idea of AI but like fire and nuclear energy they will be those that want to dominate the world with the new technology.

This happened why the car replaced the horse, when the computer itself was introduced etc. Just like nuclear fusion, it requires that people put controls in place. The worst enemy people have is themselves.

Haven't Ai enthusiasts learned anything from history? What is humankind capable of? It's simple … DO NOT allow AI to have any control of power, water or farming. DO NOT ever weaponise it! DO NOT make it mobile! Which madman would give a fast, mobile AI robot a gun? We can use AI to for problem solve without giving them any control!

I was particularly impressed with the AlphaGo software,which taught itself how to play Go,supposedly the most difficult board game to play, over millions of trial runs. It ended up beating the human world champion,and commentators made the observation that it displayed human like intuition in some of it's moves.
It's naive to think that there's no way things could go terribly bad with AI. At the very least, millions of people will eventually be put out of work. And if AI ever determines that humans are in the way of executing its goals; AI will have the power to literally shut down critical infrastructure & supply chains, potentially killing millions of people in order to have free reign over resources & physical spaces. Obviously scenarios much worse than that are possible if AI deems that humans are in the way.
There are numerous risks associated with the development of AI and its potential impact on people and jobs. However, few are warning us about people attempting to connect directly to AI through brain-computer interfaces. AI isn't likely to attack humanity with robots or take control of the world's nuclear bombs and set them all off at once, but what is more likely is a slow demise of humanity where the AI slowly takes control of you like a meat-robot.
