i play soccer very often and i want to as a pro , growing up i have my sprained my ankle a dozen times since i was 16 years old now im 22 and last year i remember i returned early to training from an injury , limping , i had no clue that was very serious thing to do and right now i have chronic ankle sprain caused by unstable feeling and giving out .due to overwork on that same ankle caused by assymetry that i understand i have and im working on.if i dont warm up to a 100 percent there is a 75 percent chance im spraining it
I sprained my deltoid ligament back in February 2025 this year. 2 weeks later i was back to work, i’m still in pain everyday just about but nothing crazy. Like a 2-3/10

Sprained my ankle 6 days ago. Jumped up playing pickleball and landed with 230 lbs on it. Moderate sprain—didn’t feel a pop or break, but it was painful as hell. Limped home, rested, and iced the first day.
On day 2, I started rehab with a resistance band—ankle circles, side movements, etc. I began moving it right away. Noticed bruising on the outside and a little on the inside.
Day 3: swimming, calf raises, walking around the house, stairs, squats, lunges. Day 4: same routine. Day 5 : 6 miles on the bike, swimming, one-leg half squats, and more band rehab. Day6: (today)have least swelling to none. Workout : swimming, calf raises, walking around the house, stairs, squats, lunges. It still may get little swollen, especially after exercising, but I’m not pushing into major pain—just tolerating some discomfort while rehabbing. If you’re interested, I can also share what foods and nutrients I’ve added to support healing.

Does it get better? It's been 15 month since i sprain my ankle and my atfl teared and i did every treatment that i could but i had some misleading that made my healing process longer and it still hurts and has chronic pain. doctor said they can not do surgery.
I lose balance when turning to sharply on my left ankle/leg with sudden movements, causing extreme discomfort and pain up my entire left leg. Happened 2 years ago, seen my physiotherapist and my medical doctor recently to discuss the ongoing pain, turns out my ligaments just haven’t healed and won’t ever be 100% again, in fact he said I’d be lucky if they got 60-70%. 1 wrong tackle on a footy field has changed my entire life, my hamstring has recently started to suffer from the excessive force and strain to make up for the weak ankle. Grade 2 sprained ankle has changed my life forever.

It’s been 4 months since my ATFL complete tear. I have no pain while walking or running. Is it safe to start jumping activities now?

It's been 5 months since I sprained my ankle.
I recovered from the injury during the first month it healed, and I can walk. There's no swelling
But when I jump or run, it still hurts – there's pain.
Why could this be? I already had an X-ray, and there were no findings. What else can I do?
It was an inversion-type injury. I sprained it when I landed after jumping.
