Pain in such a small joint can disrupt your whole life—walking, sleeping, exercising. What’s frustrating is how easy it is to misdiagnose ankle issues as something minor when they might actually stem from the knees, hips, or even your spine. Everything is connected. I’m glad this video is raising awareness, but I hope it also sparks a larger conversation about how we train and treat the lower body as a whole.
I used to think ankle pain was just a result of aging or bad shoes—but now I’m realizing it can be a sign of deeper biomechanical issues. The real question is: are we treating the pain or addressing the dysfunction? This video got me thinking about how many people live with pain that could be prevented with the right knowledge. Shouldn’t this kind of education be standard in physical therapy or even school PE classes?
I’ve dealt with chronic ankle pain for years, and it’s shocking how many doctors just prescribe rest or painkillers without identifying the root cause. Videos like this are so important because they empower people to understand their own bodies. Sometimes all it takes is the right strengthening or mobility work—but most of us are never taught that. Why is ankle care still so overlooked in mainstream health conversations?
Can you do one of thess videos on the foot? I feel like there isn't alot of clear evidence based info out there about foot issues due to all the barefoot evangelists outthere
Great video. I had complete medial deltoid ankle ligament reconstruction a few years back (no bone break) and it's never been the same. Slowly getting back into it, but feel I'm suffering with anterior impingement and also suffer quite a bit of pain down the outside of my foot when jogging. Using these videos, including an older one of yours and feel I'm making some progress though, I'm just impatient!
I ruptured my Achilles 2 months ago, yesterday was my first day walking without a boot, I didn't have surgery, I'm walking just fine but I am having a difficulty to perform even one heel raise. What should I do?
