May 2, 2025 — Decanter is delighted to announce the much-anticipated return of the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter New York, set to take place on June 7, 2025, at the stunning Manhatta in Lower Manhattan. Following sold-out events in London and Singapore, the fourth edition of this prestigious gathering promises to be New York’s most exciting fine wine experience yet.

At the heart of the Encounter is the all-day Grand Tasting – a six-hour celebration of world-class wines from iconic estates across the globe. Meet the people behind the labels as they pour standout selections, each bringing a special bottle to share — whether an aged vintage or an impressive large-format. Guests can also explore award-winning Gold, Platinum, and Best in Show wines from the 2024 Decanter World Wine Awards at the exclusive DWWA Winners table all the while taking in the breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline.

New for 2025: Experience a century of Rioja like never before at the Rioja Bar Experience, debuting at the start of the Grand Tasting. This unique tasting will showcase 25 exceptional wines spanning 100 years, from iconic classics to rare, limited-edition bottlings, offering a deep dive into the heritage and evolution of this celebrated region.

Beyond the tasting floor, wine lovers will have access to a curated selection of exclusive masterclasses led by some of the industry’s most respected experts.

Highlights include:

• A remarkable Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame vertical, covering over 30 years of vintages, including a first taste of the newly released 2018.
• A legendary lineup from Biondi-Santi, featuring a vertical of Brunello di Montalcino, culminating with the iconic 1975 Riserva.
• A compelling exploration of Rioja’s greats, bringing together time-honoured producers and cutting-edge innovators to celebrate a region rich in both tradition and transformation.
