Sonoma County Vintners Names Emilie Eliason as Interim Executive Director

August 11, 2025 (Santa Rosa, CA) — The Sonoma County Vintners (SCV) Board of Directors has named Emilie Eliason as Interim Executive Director. She will guide the organization through the transition as Michael Haney departs from the role.

Emilie Eliason has worked in the premium wine and spirits business for almost two decades. Most recently, she has been advising founders, boards and leadership teams on strategic planning, brand development and M&A readiness across the wine, beverage and luxury goods sectors. Prior to joining SCV, Emilie served as the CEO of Truett Hurst Winery and General Manager at Geodesy Wine, a social enterprise brand supporting young women’s leadership programs.

She began her wine career at Diageo in brand marketing and has also held marketing and sales roles at Treasury Wine Estates, J Vineyards & Winery and E & J Gallo. She has extensive experience in brand strategy, creating omnichannel marketing, and direct-to-consumer business growth. Earlier in her career, Emilie worked at Clorox and Yahoo! in brand marketing and market research.

Emilie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Amherst College and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

Sonoma County Vintners will host a state of the union meeting for the wine community to meet Emilie in person along with SCV Board members at Bacchus Landing on Wednesday, August, 27, 3:00-5:00 p.m.
