Xiaomi is rolling out a new HyperOS 2 update for its devices, which fixes an annoying status bar clock issue. The problem initially appeared on the Redmi Note 14 phones. Although the company has addressed it in the latest software version.
Some Redmi Note 14 smartphone users reported that after a recent update, the status bar clock disappeared from the screen. Apart from the Redmi Note 14, the issue impacted devices running on the HyperOS 1.0.6.0 firmware version.
Users reported that the status bar clock used to disappear completely from the status bar. Even if it returns occasionally after restarting the device, it disappears again within a few minutes, which eventually frustrates the device owners.
On the other hand, the home screen stopped responding to attempts at UI customizations. A few elements used to disappear from the screen while changing the status bar settings.
However, Xiaomi has now fixed this problem with the latest HyperOS update. Redmi Note 14 smartphone users can install the new version as soon as it reaches their devices. One can also opt for the manual installation by using these steps:
- Open the Settings app
- Go to About phone
- Select the System Update option
- Let the device check for the latest update
- Download and install HyperOS 2
