The Dubai Airshow is upon us, which means many jets have been ordered in the week ahead. One of the announcements expected was from the UAE\u2019s major, Emirates, which has been a long-standing Airbus customer. While there was a rumour that the A350-1000 was being signed up for, Sir Tim Clark denied it, and the airline signed on for more Boeing 777X aircraft.<\/a>\n<\/p>\n Emirates today announced orders for eight additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB84 engines, at the Dubai Airshow 2025. This top-up order will bring the airline\u2019s A350-900 fleet to 73 units upon all deliveries. To date, Emirates has received delivery of 13 A350 aircraft. Emirates\u2019 additional A350-900s ordered today are expected to be delivered during 2031. It has also enabled us to introduce Emirates\u2019 latest inflight products to more customers, including our popular Premium Economy seats. We look forward working closely with Airbus on the delivery of our remaining aircraft including the new units that we have ordered today.<\/p>\n Together with the additional Boeing 777-9 order announced earlier this week, Emirates now has a total of 375 units of the latest wide-body aircraft on its orderbook.
