Fisher who created the original statistical transformation function in 1915 to transform Pearson\u2019s correlation coefficient into a variable with a normal distribution.\u00a0 John Ehlers adapted this statistical formula for this indicator in 2002.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>No Wiggles<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">What makes it useful is that it filters out random price wiggles that can trick traders into making horrible decisions.\u00a0 While it was originally designed to spot reversals, something we really don\u2019t subscribe to, it was mentioned that it does quite well when used in a system.\u00a0 Say, isn\u2019t that what we do?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Link for Technical Analysis Video will be uploaded shortly!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Computational Reckoning<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">The Ehlers Fisher Transform begins by normalizing price data, which simply means converting price into a standard format that shows where the current price is located compared to its recent trading range. Instead of focusing on the actual price level, the indicator looks at whether price is near the top, middle, or bottom of its recent range.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">This allows the Fisher Transform to compare price movement more accurately, even across different markets with different price levels and volatility. style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Using it is pretty straight forward, but there are a few intermediary things we wanted to communicate to you.\u00a0 First, you can use this indicator as a simple green\/red histogram bar.\u00a0 Ignore the shades of green (we\u2019ll address those later).\u00a0 You can also just use it as a zero cross by removing the colors and leaving the line created by the bars.\u00a0 Less noise on the chart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><b>Long:\u00a0 <\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">When the histogram bars turn green and\/or the signal line is above the zero line.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>Short: <\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">When the histogram bars turn red and\/or the signa line is below the zero line.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Taking a Closer Look<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">If you look a little closer at the histogram bars, you\u2019ll notice they\u2019re not all the same as noted below.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a use just one indicator to trade, many of those false starts would have been avoided.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Testing Particulars<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Before we get into the testing metrics, we wanted to explain which buffer you\u2019re going to use for testing.\u00a0 Looking at the data window for this indicator you\u2019ll notice a few things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a relation to the <\/span><b>zero line<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 Positive if it\u2019s above (green\/long) and negative if it\u2019s below (red\/short).\u00a0 Y<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ou only have to consider value #5 as the testing value necessary to generate your buy\/sell signal data.\u00a0 So that testing string would period.\u00a0 Depending on your own algorithm, you could have been making money (or not) from this one trade for a long time \u2013 hence, reducing the number of individual trades.\u00a0 Food for
