Swami\u00a0Gautamanandaji\u00a0and Swami\u00a0Muktidanandaji\u00a0recall century-long tradition of service, dedication<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Mysuru:<\/strong>\u00a0Describing PM Narendra Modi as a devoted admirer of Swami Vivekananda, Swami\u00a0Gautamanandaji, President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission,\u00a0Belur\u00a0Math, said it was only fitting that the PM inaugurated the\u00a0Viveka\u00a0Smaraka.\u00a0<\/p>\n Addressing the inaugural function at Sri Ramakrishna\u00a0Vidyashala\u00a0yesterday, Swami\u00a0Gautamanandaji\u00a0said, the Memorial has come up at the sacred site where Swami Vivekananda stayed and meditated during his visit to\u00a0Mysuru.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThe PM has always drawn inspiration from Swami Vivekananda. His dedication to national service has motivated countless young people across the country. It is therefore meaningful that he has inaugurated a Memorial dedicated to youth empowerment,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n Recalling the long journey behind the project, the senior monk said, the\u00a0Viveka\u00a0Smaraka\u00a0was realised after\u00a0nearly 12\u00a0years of sustained effort.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Despite\u00a0numerous\u00a0challenges faced by monks and devotees of\u00a0Mysuru\u00a0Ramakrishna Ashram, the project was completed with the blessings of Sri Ramakrishna\u00a0Paramahamsa, Holy Mother Sri\u00a0Sharada\u00a0Devi, Swami\u00a0Vivekananda\u00a0and Goddess\u00a0Chamundeshwari, he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n Speaking on the occasion, Swami\u00a0Muktidanandaji, President of\u00a0Mysuru\u00a0Ramakrishna Ashram, described the\u00a0Viveka\u00a0Smaraka\u00a0as a new milestone in the Ashram\u2019s century-long tradition of service in the fields of spirituality, education,\u00a0literature\u00a0and rural development. He said that the centre plans to introduce short-term training programmes based on India\u2019s knowledge traditions and Swami Vivekananda\u2019s philosophy of the four\u00a0yogas\u00a0to help develop leadership qualities,\u00a0character\u00a0and life skills among young people.\u00a0<\/p>\n Expressing gratitude to all those who supported the project, he thanked the Union and Karnataka Governments for providing the land and extending continued support. He also acknowledged the contribution of the alumni of Sri Ramakrishna\u00a0Vidyashala, who donated\u00a0Rs. 30.5 crore towards the construction of the Memorial.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
