Ford has reportedly given dealers an early preview of its future product lineup, including a new $25,000 Ford SUV that is expected to become the brand\u2019s most affordable model when it arrives later this decade.<\/p>\n

According to Automotive News<\/a><\/em>, Ford showcased the upcoming affordable SUV during a recent dealer meeting in Las Vegas, where executives presented a video featuring early design sketches. The images previewed a compact, boxy SUV that one dealer compared to the original Ford Escape, suggesting the new model will embrace a more rugged, upright design.<\/p>\n

Unlike the recently announced Ford Fathom<\/a> electric pickup, which rides on Ford\u2019s new Universal EV platform, the new Ford SUV is expected to use a different architecture. The report says it will be offered with both hybrid and traditional gasoline powertrains rather than as a fully electric vehicle.<\/p>\n
