I was intrigued by the ads for Rythm Health claiming they offer “the world’s easiest blood test.” According to the company, the process is not only easy but painless as well. Curious to see if it lived up to the hype, I signed up to try it for myself. Here’s my personal review of Rythm Health, including my experience, the cost, and whether I’d recommend it.
This is an independent Rythm Health review, and no free product or monetary compensation was provided. I do, however, have a referral link for $20 off your first order: https://rythm.health/candy (And I get a $20 credit if you use it, so thank you for supporting my blog.)

What I Chose to Try Rythm Health
As a woman going through menopause and currently on hormone therapy, I have bloodwork done about every three months to monitor my hormone levels. Usually, that means scheduling an appointment, driving to a lab, and having blood drawn the traditional way with a needle inserted into a vein in my arm.
When I saw the ads for Rythm, the option to draw blood at home, and the promise of a pain-free experience hooked me. That blood draw at the lab is usually a bit ouchy, and sometimes I get bruised for days.
I went to the Rythm Health website, and they had a Mother’s Day special for 15% off. My total came to $91.75. You can see the breakdown for all the costs associated with the order below.

Getting Started with Rythm Health
Signing up was very easy and took about five minutes. I just had to give my name, sex and birthday and then pay for the order.
I also opted for text message alerts for when they ship the kit and when my results are ready. Right away, I got an email confirmation and a text to let me know my order was received.
I continued to get updates when it shipped, and when it arrived a few days later. The instructions say to fast the night before (8-12 hours) and do your collection first thing in the morning, after drinking a large glass of water.
Taking Your Blood Sample
The package arrives with everything you need to collect your sample: the device to collect blood, a heat pad, alcohol wipe, gauze, bandage, sample bag, shipping container and envelope.
They also text and e-mail you a video that shows you exactly what to do.
You’ll need to assemble the blood drawing device by snapping the collection tube into the bottom. That was pretty easy!
Then you prep your arm by swiping the alcohol pad over where you plan to stick the device.
Next, pop the silver disc inside the heat pad and it automatically heats up. Pretty cool to watch! You’ll need to hold the heating pad on your upper arm for four minutes, which helps get the blood flowing.
Next, peel the sticker off the back of the device and stick it to your arm.
Then take the cape off the red button! This is where I messed up at first and tried pressing it with the cap on, and nothing happened.

Is Rythm Health Really Painless?
Once I realized my mistake, I took off the cap and then got ready to press the button. I was honestly a little scared!
I pressed it until it made a clicking noise, and I felt… nothing! It was totally painless!
But I didn’t see any blood flowing into the tube. The man in the video said it may take a minute to get going, but I got worried I didn’t press it hard enough, since I didn’t feel a thing.
Right as I went to press it again, I saw blood in the tube and realized I did it right, and it really didn’t hurt at all.
You need to wait for the tube to fill completely up with blood before removing it. It doesn’t hurt when you peel it off.
After you press the gauze to your arm and stick on the cute little round bandage, you’ll remove the tube from the bottom and put the cap on it.
If you are scared of blood, then you won’t like this part, because the blood looks thick and gooey when you separate the tube, and there’s a bit of blood on the top of the device. I was anxious about accidentally splattering everything with blood, but it twisted off pretty easily, so there was no need to worry.
There’s a chemical in the tube that mixes with the blood that keeps it fresh during transport, so it’s important to turn the vial up and down ten times to make sure it is mixed well.
You can then either schedule a pick-up with Fed-Ex, or opt to drop it off yourself. To schedule a pick-up, you need a 4-hour window you will be home.
I chose to drop mine off at the Fed-Ex inside Walgreens. It took until later that evening before the status updated on the Rythm website, and I got a text confirming my sample was scanned and on its way to the lab.

Getting My Blood Test Results
I got updates when the lab got my sample, and another update when my results were ready. I sent it off on Monday and had results by Wednesday afternoon!
It was very easy to find my test results on the website. They were also easy to read and understand.
The results tell you what is in the optimal range, average and out of range.
The sections covered are:
Hormone Balance
Metabolic Efficiency
Heart Health
You can click on any results, and it will explain what it is and how you can improve it. You can also ask questions for each result.
It will recommend what types of food to eat, how much, and what to avoid.
You will get a Ryhtm Score and Biological Age after your second collection.
Would I Recommend Rythm Health?
I would 100% recommend Rythm Health! It was super easy and totally painless. Way better than going to a lab.
If you would like to try it, please use my referral link for $20 off your first order: https://rythm.health/candy
And if you are wondering how it compares to bloodwork from a lab, check back in a month or so. I’m going to get bloodwork ordered through my doctor and compare the results I get with Rythm and see how they compare.
