Anyone noticing where these disasters are hitting? My city suffered a large wildfire but like, it only struck what we consider a 'wealthy' area and then, after great effort, the rains shut it down. I noticed that was similar with other wildfires here in the west striking wealthy areas. For a hurricane to hit a litteral mountain tourist area so far inland is just so bizarre to me. Balance, maybe? Idk honestly.
It is absolutely devastating to see this sweet tourist town ravaged by Hurricane Helene. My boyfriend and I visited here often, as his daughter lives very close. I pray she and her family are safe.
