I assume you didn't buy this car new? It's been used? You know what the trouble is with these cars. They've been raced, revved to the max, drifted, revved to the max while parked, probably dyno tested, drifted a bit more, most likely crashed. Basically you bought a disaster on wheels. When you didn't buy it new…
I mean people slap twin turbos on these things all day, I doubt a tune is going to even make the car mad. The dealership has "stock" tunes they can add that won't void the warranty, you probably paid for it in the finance office and didn't even realize it.
Forums aren't going to do a ton, the stealership would be the place to go especially if you just bought it.
Everyone saying "steak too juicy" doesn't understand that It's not that simple. Badly done tunes can cause expensive transmission issues. He also doesn't know what type of tune, what company did the tune etc, and there could be many issues related to getting a tune cheaply done on a car like this. It can also void the warranty on the car
Our Audi RS5 has the same transmission issue. Its basically a little module in your transmission that malfunctions under extreme heat after a long drive, then when you slow down to idk pull into your driveway or come to a red light. It malfunctions and goes into limp mode like you said. Then we have to turn our car off and wait for it to cool for like 5 minutes. Turn it back on and it'll drive perfectly normally. Its a very expensive repair that requires taking apart the transmission twice. So we haven't fixed it yet. Just been living with it. Apparently its a common problem with Audi Dual clutch transmissions. But there is a fix/upgrade for it now. Hope this helps š
Iām gonna say whatever high end dealership took in that car without doing a factory reflash is up to something. I canāt even bring my tuned A4 into a vag dealership for an oil service without them trying to flash my ass back into the Stone Age.
All the people saying just remove the tune and re-flash to stock donāt realize that the tune was likely the one thing that was forgotten. The car was likely running multiple other mods and driven hard, most people do not just do an ecu/tcu tune only. Thatās the real issue, especially from a dealership that doesnāt seem to know anything about its past.
Only thing wrong with your R8 is the driver that whines when god gives him free gifts like a tuned 9000rpm V10 R8⦠I hope they didnāt lie to you on purpose tho, that would suck.
He bought an Audi with 14k miles and didn't ask if it had a tune or do any due diligence of his own beyond just trusting a dealer? Didn't take it to a second mechanical evaluation! That's is insane!

Only one thing to say : BMW M8.

Magic PPI done sat in an office
Nope your transmission is cooked, might as well get rid of it. Iāll take it off your hands for ya so it wonāt be such an headache
Hey bro itās not upgraded. Someone lied to you about how the gauge cluster on a V10 R8 looks lol
Also you happen to not have a normal R8 the photos you saw are for a normal basic V10

If your car is still under warranty thats a huge plus imo. The only reason i wouldnt do a tune is because it voids the warranty

Probably just an ecu tune that you could get flashed back to stock at a garage or Audi service centre

It's not hard to have it flashed back to a stock tune
Just deliver my uber eats already.
The biggest problem is you don't know the tune done
You have 1300 miles on? The car says 1350. Did the previous owner really tune it and only have 50 miles on it? š¤
You have good problems, my friend š
Yup……take it back bro
Rich people problems
Found the problem⦠itās an Audi
First world problems. š¤š¼
Get a OBD diagnostics Tool
So the problem is you pull into your driveway at 9000 and you were supposed to pull in at 8500? š
just in case lawyer up
Some stock R8 redline at 9000.
R8 V10Plus for example
Mine will die, I need to put a charger on it. But it will throw an all wheel drive code.
Only thing wrong with your R8 is the driver that whines when god gives him free gifts like a tuned 9000rpm V10 R8ā¦
I hope they didnāt lie to you on purpose tho, that would suck.
There goes the warranty
Look, don't know how to break it down to you people but AUDI and RELIABLE are not two words to put on the same sentence, or document.
Why would you be upset for free tune inna car like gets me mad others would appreciate that
Oil Money for sure

who cries about a free tune?
Was it necessary to post it instead of dealing with the dealership?
Should've got the diesel one.
Shut up
Who the fuck actually thinks Audis are reliable š
If they sell cars they lie
Now you know Audi are trash
wild that youre complaining
Bro is really complaining for having a much funner car
Heās pissed his wife is too hot too š
Which dealership sells pagani?
The last produced R8 was in 2024. You sure its a new car?
If its a "high end" dealership, they will take care of such problems on the house. Riiiiight?
What dealer?
What's going on with your R8? Its ready to go to the moon, now send it! Tune it more and slap some turbos on that thing while you're at it
