  2. Is it normal to have a lock on the inside of a pantry door?

Trying not to judge here but I can't think of any good reason to have a door like that…plenty of reasons I don't want to think about but this video feels more Ruby Franke than harmless.

She could have gotten into anything, gotten outside and lost.

She spoke so clearly, where did she learn to 'lock the damn door'?

Most parents I know would say something to the crying toddler, even if it's breathe or I'll be right back or you're safe or I need to go get daddy.

Helicopter parenting is bad but the opposite isn't better and it's mortifyingly bad taste to post yourself laughing while your kid cries. It's never in good taste to laugh at distress, it's a poor coping mechanism for lack of emotional regulatory skills. It's uncomfortable to watch.

  3. Thank God he had this phone on him. I don't carry my phone around in the house. I guess I should start, seeing as I have a kid the same age and now I'm scared πŸ˜‚
