We're all – blue and red voters alike – watching our representatives tell us to our faces that our votes don't matter. They aren't trying to win us over and earn our votes through good policy, they're trying to rig the maps and force a pre-determined outcome in November.

Well, that's good news for Virginia at least. Republicans were being total hypocrites criticizing their redistricting that their VOTERS agreed to, challenging it in court every way they could. I don't know how they can block it with this supreme Court ruling
This is absolutely awful for our Republic and shows that the divide is not reconcilable.
We MUST keep the Electoral College in tact and functioning how it always has, or the country is lost, and there will be succession attempts and perhaps war.

It should be based by county lines not made up lines the politicians get to re draw whenever it suits them. How hard would that be. These 5 counties are district 1 these 5 are district 2 and so on. Maybe base it on population so say maybe district 1 is only 1 county and 2 is maybe 6 counties.

In this Gerrymander Republicans are lowering their margins of victory in normally safe districts to increase number of seats they could win in common elections.
They didn't do it because "Trump told them to". They did it because an audit of the last census proved that the census over counted people in blue states and undercounted people in red states causing 5 seats that SHOULD have been apportioned to red states to be apportioned to blue states. And let's be honest states like California have been gerrymandering for decades and just wanted an excuse to do it more.
