A number of players out on international duty at the moment, but despite of those absentees, Leicester were able to field a strong side in this EFL (Jersey Mike’s) Trophy game.
Goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli made his debut. Admir Bristric was back in the team, starting up front. Also starts for Tommy Watson, Caleb Okoli, BDCR and Kamari Doyle, who was not part of the starting line-up vs. Barnsley.
Leicester took command from start and should have scored after just minutes. Massive chances were missed, BDCR and Admir Bristric having attempts, either saved by the Fulham U21 goalkeeper, or attempts going wide.
Then in the 15th minute Admir Bristric manage to get the ball in the net, after a massive pressure from Leicester, Fulham U21 having problems to get out of their own penalty box.
Bristric got the taste of scoring with that first goal in a City shirt, adding two more in the 24th and 34th minute of the game. Tommy Watson followed up with two more goals, scoring late in the first half. Leicester were 5-0 up when Fulham midfielder Seth Chingwaro managed to score, after another Leicester blunder, again Warren O’Hora doing the mistake.
Leicester were 5-1 up at half time.

Leicester made one change at the break, Woyo Coulibaly coming in for Luke Thomas. Then after 50 minutes, BDCR, makes an attempt from long range, and his well placed shot finds the net to make it 6-1.
Leicester make more substitutions in the 62nd minute, bringing on Lorenz Hutchinson, Will Lawrence and Tommy Neale, all of them making their debuts for the first team in a regular game. Hutchinson and Neale both featured in pre-season, but nice to see them get their first minutes in an official match.
Leicester continues to put pressure on Fulham U21, Lorenz Hutchinson hitting the post. Kamari Doyle and Tommy Watson also close to scoring, but no more goals. Kamari Doyle leaves the field at the end, possibly injured.
A good test and some nice goals scored, 6-1 is on any day of the week a great result, even against Fulham U21.
Positives
- Scoring goals from chances created
- Total domination over a full game, being able to get closer to goal and create chances
- Debuts for Ravizzoli, Hutchinson, Lawrence and Neale
- Some impressive performances, Bristric scoring a hat trick, BDCR playing his best game of the season
Negatives
- Losing concentration, resulting in fatal errors, opponents scoring
- Scoring 6, should not complain, but today also a lot of opportunities missed as the convertion rate a problem
