2027: Makinde unveils presidential campaign team — See full list
The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has appointed former Minister of State for Aviation, Felix Hassan Hyat, as Director-General of the National Campaign Management Committee (NCMC) of his presidential campaign organisation ahead of the 2027 election.
The appointment places Hyat at the centre of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation as the APM intensifies its nationwide consultations and mobilisation ahead of the presidential poll.
The development was announced on Wednesday by Anthony Ehilebo, Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to Makinde.
Hyat, a former Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is expected to coordinate the campaign’s national management structure and help drive its “Reset Nigeria” message across the country.
The campaign said the appointment was part of efforts to bring together political experience and organisational capacity as the APM prepares for the 2027 presidential election.
Alongside Hyat’s appointment, Makinde named former Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Inna Ciroma, as Deputy Director-General, Administration, while Dr Anthony Aziegbemi was appointed Deputy Director-General, Operations.
The campaign said the appointments were designed to strengthen its administrative, operational and mobilisation structures ahead of the election.
The new leadership is expected to work with APM National Leader and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, National Chairman Yusuf Mamman Dantalle and other party leaders.
The campaign organisation has already begun taking its message to different parts of the country through zonal town hall meetings and stakeholder engagements. It has described the engagements as part of its broader consultation and grassroots mobilisation programme.

Alhaji Umar Bida Ndabrama — Director, Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Documentation
Comrade Armstrong Adah — Director, Youth Coordination
Adeyemi Moyegun — Director, Organisation and Coordination
CP Babangida Ayuba John (Rtd) — Deputy Director, Security and Intelligence
The campaign said additional appointments would be announced in due course.
‘Reset Nigeria’ campaign
Makinde’s campaign has adopted “Reset Nigeria” as its central message and has been using town hall meetings to engage citizens and stakeholders across the country’s geopolitical zones.

The campaign says the engagements are intended to focus on issues including national stability, citizens’ welfare, accountability and the management of public resources.
The APM has already commenced its 2027 presidential campaign activities, with Makinde paired with Lawal Musa Daura as the party’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled the 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections for February 2027.
