Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 221 Manga Review
フェアリーテイル 100年クエスト
SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:
Happy encounters Fairy Tail and briefs them about Natsu fighting Ignia. Lucy’s battle with Earth Build spills into the area Fairy Tail has gathered at.
Elsewhere, Laxus and Levia duke it out. Levia says he enjoys the humanoid form because he enjoys the fisticuffs. After exchanging punches, they exchange breath attacks. To Laxus’s surprise, there are globes of energy. They apparently contain Laxus’s magic. They launch at Laxus and explode.
Thoughts/Review:
Not a lot to say about Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 221. We get to see Lucy in melee combat thanks to Selene and Mercphobia within her. I’ve already said my piece about Lucy getting into the fray. She’s a support character, but Mashima-sensei likes her in a melee, frontline role. Whatever.
As to the fight between Laxus and Levia, there’s not much to say there. They just punch each other several times and talk about how much they love to fight. The chapter ends with Laxus taking damage. However, I suspect that we’ll see Laxus win the fight next chapter.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In the end, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 221 doesn’t do much in terms of advancing the plot. It is just an action piece which is fine for what it is.
