I had a bunch of baby deer around my house last spring and their moms decided our house was a good safe place. It took everything within me to not go outside in the rain and check on the baby when it was crying oml. It just fills me to the brim with motherly instincts and I have to fight them because mom is nearby despite not coming to the baby every time it cries. ahhhh I kind of hope for the same this spring but also not bc it’s like psychological torture 😂
