  1. The electric motor creates the torque by spinning fast and using a single ratio reduction gear. But when it reaches about 10000rpm it loses gradually its ability to build up the magnetic field each cycle. At about 25000rpm thrust is almost gone.
    That is why porsche used a shifted reduction gear, because it should be able to perform even at german Autobahn speed. But any other electric vehicle which is not in motor sport doesn't need that. Because there is a worldwide speed limit between 100-130km/h (60-85mph), exept crazy germany of cause.
    But we have the 2 natural speed limits… lightspeed and Roadwork😂. Lots of endless roadworks

  2. Real ones know how much faster a car is if it can make up 3 car lengths and pull ahead.
    These EV's have a definite advantage off the line and at slow speeds, but IC engines are still king once momentum and wind resistance come in to play.
