  5. I make it Dublin style…..like my nanny showed me…

    Put the chicken in the stew pot…boil it for 20 minutes…take it out and chop to bite size pieces….return it to the pot…add extra hot water…bung in all your veg…add the stock cube aka broth…thicken it with milk or coconut cream if you need it gluten free. Blitz a wee bit of the veg to thicken it up or add regular baking flour. Job done.Simmer for a hour. Tastes better the next day though.

  7. I grew up having this dish as a soup. What is the difference between a soup and a stew? Just the liquid broth reduced and/or thickened with rue?
