The way you hold your pick validates me. Thank you. The strat sounds like the original. The tele does sound different… a little more clear in the higher frequencies
Telecaster all the way. I’m a Les Paul guy but I think the telecaster is probably the best guitar ever made. It looks great it sounds great it feels great.
Yeah, tele is clearer, brighter. I think this is tele neck only right? probably it is because else the strat has to be mid + neck, because it can't do neck and bridge. unless one mount a extra switch. Yeah, strat seems muted in comparison on the neck. Probably due to more capacitance from a larger coil in the pickup.
Tried them all and I always come back to the strat . It is literally the most versatile, comfortable guitar ever made. Ol Leo fender was cooking in 59 .

Tele for me
I have a Squire HSS Strat and I love the Strat sound, even though recently in these type of vids I usually go for the Tele. I have never owned a Tele.
In this vid though the Tele has more bite but I would say the Strat edges this one.
I do intend to get a Tele sometime soon.

tele has more of a retro fuzz natural sound the strat is more a multi generation guitar
