Also… the computer logged in?? I’m so used to being told do xyz on the computer. But… in our district… subs don’t have district wide logins. I cannot in fact log into that computer 😭
Bout to start subbing praying classroom teachers are this organized. I've worked in daycare and homeschooled preschoolers while watching them in my home but never traditional school setting
As a sub – lesson plans, seating chart, referrals to give to bad students, all are great and dandy, but the thing the keeps me going back or makes me say, nope never subbing here again, is never the teacher (you guys are great), it’s the school. Is there any way you can make sure your school only has your sub teaching only your class. I hate when I show up to sub for a teacher and the school puts me in 3 different rooms that day. It’s madness. We don’t get paid very much at all and I feel like I have to hide in a bathroom or something if god forbid I have a free period they didn’t catch on my way in.
I subbed earlier today and had someone from the administration office call me name because they didn’t realize I was already given a class that hour, and they were pissed I wasn’t in a different class at the same time, that I didn’t even know I was also assigned.
Schools expect so much from subs – we’re paid just over minimum wage and get no benefits and they can’t be happy with us just doing one class. Like, it’s okay for a sub to have an off hour y’all, I would have thought that me being there at all would be enough for the pay, tbh.
It's always good to be organized but what would you do in the event that you found out that the students or any one student took advantage of the sub day or sub days? And on the other side of the coin, what happens in regards to those who get awarded those 2 sub tickets?
If I had teachers that were this organized and helpful, I probably wouldn’t literally get a stomach ache at the start of each day. I get so overwhelmed & kids are surprisingly brutal
As a substitute teacher, I love this! Finally a realistic video about what it’s like as a substitute teacher. Know you, when we don’t just get another teacher saying that she emails the night before that she was sick. Yes, it’s good to be prepared. Some teachers even come in evenings when they are sick because they know that we can’t do it the next day without them. But if you are prepared two days before, that is fine too. As long as the days don’t get mixed together. But it’s usually a previous sub that sometimes does that.
It's funny seeing this because in highschool when we had subs our teachers would leave out plans but then the sub would just ignore them and play a movie instead
I’m a substitute, and I did elementary three times for teachers who left messy, incomplete, or extremely confusing lesson plans (and got ZERO support from admin or other teachers when asking) – I now only sub Jr. and high school, but if I got plans like these, I would have gone back over and over
A boy and a girl? What if you have a non-binary student? They can never receive one? That’s a dumb way of doing it. Just give it to two students regardless of gender
Ma'am good job for preparing for the sub
Love how organized u r

I’ve walked into just 0 sub plans 3 times this week. Watching you put this together feels like therapy
How do you know when and what to prefer for a sub?
As a sub, the time filler worksheets on a different color paper is a great idea!

I like the Bible verse at the beginning of the slide!!
Love this!

Id love working for her!
as a sub, these lesson plans look god tier
You're a great teacher! Very thorough and thoughtful! And I also love that you are teaching the Bible 🙂
Bro the example date is 11 days before my birthday-
What version of the Bible do you use
Oh my gosh my school uses the same Bible curriculum except mines for 7th
You’re allowed to teach biblical stories in your classroom?
My teacher literally spelled it out for my sub but she still messed it up by making us do other things instead of the quiz
Golden tickets, are a great idea ❤

When I subbed at the Elem. level, the teachers always left binders with info & guidance! It's definitely appreciated!
*Edit: I should also mention that Paras are lifesavers for subs!!
this is woman is an angel on earth and looks like one.

Bible?
As a non binary student it may be helpful to give 2 students a golden ticket instead of a boy and a girl
Meanwhile in high school….
student teacher, teacher, or even once a security guard fills in bc of sub shortages
“Just check the google classroom”
either hangs out with us while we don’t do the work or doesn’t interact with us at all
Okay but why did I think you were going to make us a subway sub 🥪 💀
Another curiosity question: do your schools mandate that students read the Bible?
is this private school or public
why r u teaching religion
My mom is a sun and your doing amazing! Some subs don’t even leave a list of names
God bless you for sharing the gospel to young children ❤ you never no who needs it and we need more people in this world like you ❤
I wish my teacher did this she left us with no work
Curiosity question: what kinds of information about students do you leave for subs? Is it things like who works well together or behavioral tips?
U make me scard for 4th grade😅😢
I love how this teacher has Bible so awesome
A boy and a girl? What if you have a non-binary student? They can never receive one? That’s a dumb way of doing it. Just give it to two students regardless of gender
Wow you guys study the Bible as part of the lesson plans!? Is it a Christian school!? That is amazing I love it❤ what book are you guys going through?
Do you teach at a Christian school or something bc I keep on seeing bible stuff and things like that
You should not do boy or girl because what if you have a trans or non binary student
