  1. you have to be either 7, or a youtuber to play this game. there's a reason there's been plenty of pros who've gone over to rust, but no rust "pros" can make it anywhere else.

  2. WHAT?!?! Ship building and sea battles is so cool! Never knew they added it. I've played Rust on and off since 2015 and only have ~700 hours, most of which was during pandemic lockdowns (I was literally getting paid to stay home and play Rust with maybe a few phone calls and a Zoom meeting once a week lol). I'd play it as my main game for ~6 months, then stop playing for a year or two. Every time I go back, they've added SO MUCH that it seems like a whole new game. I'm in my 30s now with a full time job. I just can't keep up. Love watching no-life (no-offense) Rust veterans play though. If you want to keep up and actually be any good, it really is a full-time job, with overtime. My friends who played haven't touched it in years. Almost makes me miss lockdowns lol

They should really call the game "No Country For The Conventionally Employed". That said, shoutout to Facepunch for their ongoing support for a game that hit the scene in 2013. It's incredible to see how far it's come. Wish I had the time, the teammates, the practice, the knowledge, and the skill to fully enjoy it these days. Shoutout to all my serially Tier 2-locked (on a good wipe) solo/duo casuals out there that get off-lined in their sleep every wipe. I probably won't be seeing you soon lol
